Munch, munch. Hungry caterpillar — I don’t know what he’ll grow up to be but I wish he’d change his diet, originally uploaded by pawightm.
We may not like it when garden bugs like this caterpillar eat away at our prize plants but when captured on film (or I guess now-a-days it’s all digital), these pests become a marvel of nature. Good luck with the desired change in diet! I imagine these crawlers have been munching on garden goodies for thousands of years!

Blue Strawberry Flowers, Memecylon caeruleum, Botanical Gardens, Singapore, originally uploaded by Rana Pipiens.
I’m not a huge fan of close-up pictures of flowers but this close-up of tiny strawberry tree blossoms caught my eye and seemed like it deserved some attention. It’s not just the clear detail of the tiny flowers but the composition of the photo is excellent with a predominant grouping of five pink blossoms and the single fully open purple blossom creating a creat colour combination.

…and I don’t mean invasive. At least I hope not!
I usually prefer full garden photos, but this close-up is deserving of sharing. The forming buds on this magnolia bush are eerily resembling of an alien stick bug. I would have believed you if you told me it was a tropical insect species.
